Make a Difference in Your Community on a Daily Basis!

Join our team! We provide services to individuals who need mobility transportation. We are specially equipped to transport riders in wheelchairs, stretchers or with other special needs.The driver will provide the assistance required to safely board patients and caregivers. On arrival at medical facility, the driver will assist patients in exiting the van and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas.

Essential Job Functions

Safely pick up, assist, and transport patients and caregivers.
Operate mobility vehicles and ensure patient comfort.
Assist patients upon arrival at medical facilities.
Provide first-aid/CPR if needed and notify emergency staff.
Complete shift reports and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Inspect and service vehicles and equipment for readiness.
Uphold positive, professional interactions with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

Valid driver’s license & clean driving record

Comfortable using driver and navigation apps
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

REQUIRED :

Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.
Fluency in English required. Depending on assigned area, knowledge of Spanish would be helpful.
Satisfactory completion of a company training program in passenger assistance techniques, sensitivity training, and map reading, or demonstrated competence based on previous employment experience.
Satisfactory completion of CPR training provided by a local emergency medical training facility or a certificate indicating prior successful completion of such training.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Picks up patients at home or other facility. Provides the assistance required to safely board patients and caregivers.
Operates mobility vehicles as needed for safe and comfortable patient transportation.
On arrival at medical facility, assists patients in exiting the van and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas.
Provides first-aid or CPR if required during patient transport. Immediately notifies emergency staff and dispatcher if skilled assistance is required.
Completes reports at the end of a shift.
Checks all equipment for future readiness,
maintains van in operable condition, ensures van cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and supplies, decontaminates vehicle interior after each transport.
Completes a thorough vehicle maintenance inspection prior to vehicle operation.
Maintains positive behaviors, attitudes and commitments to interpersonal service in regard to customer, visitors, and coworkers.
Performs related duties as assigned by management, supervisor or dispatch.

Exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
Occasional exposure to the risk of bloodborne diseases.
