Comfort Care Transportation was founded in 2023 by Alonzo Burton in Kansas City with a clear mission: to address the transportation challenges residents face when seeking safe, dependable access to healthcare services.
From the very beginning, Comfort Care has been committed to serving individuals of all ages — including those who are bed-ridden, wheelchair-bound, recovering from major surgeries, managing life-altering injuries, or living with chronic illnesses. Whether it’s a routine appointment or a critical follow-up, Comfort Care ensures every passenger reaches their destination safely, comfortably, and on time.

April 3, 2023 – Established
Comfort Care Transportation was officially founded, driven by the vision to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate non- emergency medical transportation.
April 29, 2023 – First Vehicle Acquired
Within weeks of opening, our very first company vehicle was added to the fleet, setting the foundation for operations.
May 8, 2023 – First Passenger Trip
We proudly completed our very first trip, launching service with a modest but determined four-van fleet.
July 2023 – Fleet Expansion
Strong demand quickly pushed growth, and our fleet expanded to six vans, allowing us to serve more patients.
August 24, 2023 – 1,000+ Trips Completed
In just a few months, Comfort Care celebrated surpassing 1,000 successful trips, a clear sign of community trust.
October 2023 – Bigger Facility
We moved from a small one-room office with outdoor parking to a larger facility with indoor fleet parking, creating room for continued expansion.
December 12, 2023 – 10,000 Trips
By year’s end, we proudly reached 10,000 completed trips, an extraordinary milestone in less than a year of service.
January 2024 – Fleet Growth to Nine Vans
The new year began with another fleet expansion, bringing the total to nine vans to keep up with patient needs.
January 26, 2024 – Stretcher Transport Added
We broadened our services to include stretcher transportation, ensuring greater accessibility for patients with advanced mobility needs.
August 2025 – Dallas Office Opened
Comfort Care opened its second office in Dallas, Texas, extending our reach to serve more communities in need of dependable non-emergency medical transportation
