Make a Difference in Your Community on a Daily Basis!

Join our team! We provide services to individuals who need mobility transportation. We are specially equipped to transport riders in wheelchairs, stretchers or with other special needs.The driver will provide the assistance required to safely board patients and caregivers. On arrival at medical facility, the driver will assist patients in exiting the van and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Picks up patients at home or other facility. Provides the assistance required to safely board patients and caregivers.

  • Operates mobility vehicles as needed for safe and comfortable patient transportation.

  • On arrival at medical facility, assists patients in exiting the van and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas.

  • Provides first-aid or CPR if required during patient transport. Immediately notifies emergency staff and dispatcher if skilled assistance is required.

  • Completes reports at the end of a shift.

  • Checks all equipment for future readiness, maintains van in operable condition, ensures van cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and supplies, decontaminates vehicle interior after each transport.

  • Completes a thorough vehicle maintenance inspection prior to vehicle operation.

  • Maintains positive behaviors, attitudes and commitments to interpersonal service in regard to customer, visitors, and coworkers.

  • Performs related duties as assigned by management, supervisor or dispatch.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Clean driving record

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Goal-oriented, problem-solving skills

  • Logistically sound decision-making

  • Ability to work independently

  • Attention to detail

  • Respect and integrity, both to company and customers

  • Positive attitude

  • Technical savvy to use driver app and navigation app

  • Offer great customer service

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance

  • Have good physical fitness and strength

  • Must be able to push 300+ pounds

  • Good efficiency and time-management skills

  • Must be able to follow all safely rules

REQUIRED:

  • Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.

  • Fluency in English required. Depending on assigned area, knowledge of Spanish would be helpful.

  • Satisfactory completion of a company training program in passenger assistance techniques, sensitivity training, and map reading, or demonstrated competence based on previous employment experience.

  • Satisfactory completion of CPR training provided by a local emergency medical training facility or a certificate indicating prior successful completion of such training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and position patients frequently. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. without assistance.

  • Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping and bending.

  • Hearing and vision abilities within normal range to drive safely and to observe and communicate with patients.

  • Regular exposure to injuries and illness.

  • Exposure to a variety of weather conditions.

  • Occasional exposure to the risk of bloodborne diseases.

Pay Rate:

Competitive hourly rate — to be discussed during the interview.
